Q: if Systane complete lubricant eye drops are safe for me but it says not eyelid safe, then is it really safe for me as it is going to get on my eyelids? after all it is an eye drop!

Thanks for your question. The Eyelid Safe badge reflects products that are free of the most common fragrances, preservatives, soaps, and adhesive ingredients known to trigger eyelid rashes. This includes being Top Free plus free of gold, thimerosal, CAPB‑related soaps, shellac or acrylate glues, and Meibomian‑gland–toxic ingredients such as phenoxyethanol, parabens, and chlorphenesin.

This is separate from a Safe for Me Code, which is based on personal allergens.
