Isobornyl acrylate is an acrylic monomer used in adhesives, medical devices and personal care products.
How do I avoid it?
Avoidance requires reading the product labels, package inserts, Safety Data Sheets (SDS), and on occasion, direct communication with the manufacturer.
Isobornyl acrylate is often used in medical devices. There are multiple case reports of diabetic patients developing contact allergies to their diabetes devices, such as insulin pumps. Consult with your provider if you feel your device is causing a rash or itch.
