Hexamethylene Diisocyanate
What is it?
Hexamethylene diisocyanate is a substance used in the making of polyurethane paints and lacquer. It is also used in the manufacture of nylon and as a hardener in both automobile and aircraft paints.
How can I avoid it?
Avoidance requires reading the product labels, package inserts, Safety Data Sheets (SDS), and on occasion, direct communication
with the manufacturer.
