The Amneal Pharmaceutical Lidocaine Patch (5%) is primarily used for pain relief. It's commonly applied to relieve nerve pain associated with post-herpetic neuralgia (PHN), which is pain that persists after an outbreak of shingles. The patch can also be used to alleviate itching and pain from minor skin irritations, scrapes, insect bites, and minor burns.
